M.P. Tiger Foundation Society is eligible for CSR spendings according to Schedule VII , Clause 135 of Companies Act, 2013.

Madhya Pradesh is home to 25% of India's tigers inhabiting 34.84 % of its forested land, of which about 11% is under protected area network, therefore the national as well as global responsibility to save the tiger and its habitat is much more serious for Madhya Pradesh.
Even though, tiger habitats have been secured in National Parks and Tiger Reserves, large areas of forests lying outside the protected area network are highly disturbed and prone to fragmentation and destruction .Though the revised forest policy (1988) has biodiversity conservation as one of its major objectives , the financial and manpower resources which are available at present for managing forests are still inadequate .It is obvious therefore that to save tiger and its habitat resources must be mobilized through other channels like donations and CSR funding. As this responsibility cannot be shouldered by the state alone, the general public, institutions, organizations and industrialists - virtually people from all walks of life must join hands to protect the wildlife and its habitats and thereby conserve biodiversity which is crucial to the long term survival of humans and wildlife.

Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden (cwlw), MP is the Ex-officio Secretary of the foundation.
